Personal Data and Finance
Applying data engineering and systems thinking to personal life — automated financial infrastructure, multi-entity accounting, and the quantified self.
Quantified Self
The quantified self interests me as a way of observing patterns in a life that would otherwise blur together.

I do not believe a person can be fully understood through numbers alone, but I do think measurement can reveal things memory misses. Counts, logs, and rough estimates can show scale, repetition, intensity, and commitment in ways that are surprisingly clarifying.
Part of what I find interesting here is not just the numbers themselves, but what they suggest about how a life has actually been spent: what has been built, repeated, maintained, attempted, and carried over time.
Here is a rough estimate gut feel on some things I’ve done more than once.
