Music has been part of my life for as long as I can remember.
Part of what I love about music is that it holds memory, atmosphere, and emotion in a way that ordinary explanation often cannot. It can shape a moment, preserve a season of life, or help make sense of something that is difficult to say directly.
My relationship with music has also followed the evolution of technology. I used to burn CDs from WAV files and MP3s downloaded through Napster on Windows 98 over a 56k modem and a second phone line. Today I mostly listen through Spotify, but I still like keeping long-running records of what I listen to, including my scrobbles on Last.fm from iTunes in college through Spotify now.
I keep playlists, including thematic ones, across platforms like Spotify and YouTube Music. I also use tools like Endel and experiment with making music through Suno. Some of what I make is playful and funny. Some of it is more reflective and tied to larger themes in life.
