The client built an AI model to estimate effects of vacancy on property value for St. Louis City. I created an engineered feature to show how close any parcel was to all nearby vacant parcels on about 250k parcels and 25k vacant parcels. Alteryx was used to experiment and create a data model that would allow for arbitrary definitions of "nearby". Outputs were created as CSV to further joining and .HYPER extracts for Tableau. Tableau was used to generate a graphic showing these effects on a map. The data itself is designed to be joined directly to an existing dataset and fed into a machine learning algorithm
