Learning is continuous, but attention is limited. This list shows where I am currently investing effort, filling gaps, and expanding capability.
These are not abstract interests. They are areas where I am building practical skill, preparing for future work, or increasing my ability to connect systems, people, and execution more effectively.
Current Areas of Learning
- AI agent operations and observability — running agents with production discipline: deployment pipelines, tracing and evaluation (Langfuse), Model Context Protocol integrations, and self-improvement loops.
- Identity and network security infrastructure — centralized identity (FreeIPA), single sign-on (Authelia), intrusion prevention (CrowdSec), and what it takes to safely expose self-hosted services to the public internet.
- Amateur radio — operating as W0GYZ (Technician, licensed June 2026), learning operating practice and the radio side of mesh networking.
